Time to fill up your freezer.
Halo Top just expanded its dairy-free flavor offerings, so vegans now have twice as many options. The company added nondairy versions of five of its popular existing dairy flavors: chocolate almond crunch, candy bar, chocolate chip cookie dough, birthday cake, and pancakes and waffles. They also release two totally new flavors: toasted coconut (a coconut base with toasted coconut flakes) and vanilla maple (a vanilla base with a hint of maple). Halo Top came out with its first vegan options (caramel macchiato, chocolate, chocolate covered banana, cinnamon roll, oatmeal cookie, peanut butter cup, and sea salt caramel) last year, but went for more decadence with this release. "When we launched our original line of nondairy flavors, we knew we wanted to expand to include even more indulgent options," Halo Top founder Justin Woolverton said in a press release. All seven flavors are made with coconut milk and pea protein. They each pack in 12g of protein and fall within the 280–360 calorie range for a full pint. (Not that there's anything wrong with regular ice cream.)
The new flavors are out, so now's the time to stock up for movie nights, the Super Bowl, and Valentine's Day.
